Tonic Weight Loss Surgery are the UK’s premium weight loss solution, providing 5-years of the highest-quality aftercare and the safest option for those seeking weight loss surgery.
Whilst they work with some of the best surgeons in the world, their previous marketing agency was letting them down. Tonic wanted to switch things up, which is why they started working with Catalyst.
The problem
Tonic wasn’t seeing value from their previous agency. Mistakes were being made and they weren’t generating leads at the rate that they wanted to.
Tonic had a good paid search budget, but it wasn’t delivering the returns that they were hoping for.
They were also aware that the user journey on their website could be improved, and that their on-page SEO needed work.
Last, but by no means least, much of the Tonic team’s time was spent marketing the business rather than doing their day jobs. They wanted a marketing partner who could confidently take control of their ongoing marketing so that they could focus on what they do best – #GivingBackLives!

A full marketing refresh
To make sure that we delivered the value that Tonic were after, we opted to conduct a full Growth Audit – our comprehensive market research process.
Our research identified both quick fixes and more long-term targets, so we got to work. Our goal was to deliver rapid short-term gains while working behind the scenes on longer-term goals.
In the short term, we fully optimised Tonic’s paid search – both their SEO and PPC needed work, as the previous agency had made some mistakes. We ensured that Tonic’s PPC, social ads, Ad Smart and SEO were targeting the right keywords and markets, helping deliver some rapid results.
We also integrated Tonic’s Salesforce with HubSpot, allowing them to make the most of Marketing Hub Pro.
Long-term, we looked at Tonic’s messaging, positioning and website.
We produced a new business proposition to help better position Tonic to their target audience.
After the initial design phase, we jumped into a brand-new website build, bringing together all the data from our Growth Audit into a platform designed to promote Tonic’s ongoing growth.
